Chicago is hot!

Made it to Chicago yesterday morning.  It was going to get into the 90′s so Jeff, Nicole and I immediately caught the train to Chicago to see a salsa band on Navy Pier where we could catch some breeze off Lake Michigan.

We quickly found the beer garden on the pier, where the group was playing.

Here’s what Chicago looks like from the pier:

Unfortunately, I blew it with the music video but here’s a salvaged clip of the lead-in act to the salsa (next time, no zoom or a tripod :-)

Embarrassing quality, but that’s the way it is, folks – I’ll do better next time.  Really.

Looks like fun. Beautiful scenery. I wish I was there. I guess you’ll be staying with Nicole for awhile. Enjoy & Hi to all.

What?? no cinematic High definition quality? no special effects?! no quick zoom pans or dubbing? WHAT KIND OF FILM MAKER ARE YOU?

Just kidding. I think the quality is just fine, and shows what a gorgeous day it was! That’s nice they have some entertainment on the water like that.

Say hi to everyone for us!

Yeah, Navy Pier is a cool place to hang out and Chicagoans make the most of it during the summer. I’d hate to have to be there in the winter, though :-)

You captured the spirit. Made us all want to be there. Love the picture of you and Nicole – you both look great and it captures the warmth between you. MK

Lots more outdoor stuff coming up, including concerts with Blondie, George Thorogood, Elvis Costello, etc. – I’ll keep you all posted.

Chicago is great – in the summer.
